Sedna ™ gold is a new alloy named by omega, which is a fusion of three metal elements: gold, copper and palladium.
Sedna ™ Gold is an 18K rose gold with a minimum gold content of 75%. The unique rose-red color of Sedna ™ gold benefits in part from the proper proportion of copper, while palladium ensures that the reddish color of Sedna ™ gold is eternal and lasting. The new alloy is named after the Neptune celestial body known to astronomers as Sedna, and the asteroid Sedna is considered to be one of the reddest objects in the solar system. In addition, Sedna is also the name of an Inuit legend of a goddess living on the bottom of the Arctic Ocean.
The watch is equipped with Omega’s innovative Si14 silicon balance spring and the revolutionary Omega 8501 coaxial movement, which is clearly visible through the sapphire back.
